India is a welcoming country where all religions strive to coexist peacefully. There are a few examples that show differently, but people continue to respect each other's religion. There is a false impression in our country that Hindus and Muslims don't get along well. History says there has been indifference between them, but time and again we come across events that show the peace between these two populations. From enjoying Diwali and Eid together to a Muslim man taking care of a Hindu temple, these beautiful events give an example of communal harmony and tolerance.

1.Ramlila and Namaz are held together in this dual Mandir-Masjid in Uttar Pradesh.

It was late at night when the sounds of 'Namaz' and 'Chaupais' met in people's ears. While Ramlila was taking place in the Lat Bhairav Mandir, Muslims were performing Namaz at the adjoining Lat Masjid.

This peaceful practise has been going on for nearly three centuries and completed 350 years old in 2019. Both the mandir and the masjid are near to one other.

2. The Muslim community joins together to construct the Kali Temple in Bengal.

Muslims in Nanoor, Birbhum district, set an example of communal peace and tolerance by re-building a Kali temple that had to be demolished two years ago to make way for the development of a village road.

According to HT, the temple, devoted to the Hindu goddess Kali, was inaugurated amid Kali Puja celebrations in Basapara, located in the Nanoor district, 160 kilometres from Kolkata's capital city. Neighbors pooled their resources, purchased a plot of land, and began building the temple so that the goddess' puja could be held their.
Muslims participated in the fund-raising drive and ended up collecting Rs 7 lakh of the total Rs 10 lakh spent to construct the temple at a new location, according to HT.

On Durga Puja last month, a four-year-old Muslim child was worshipped as Kumari, spreading the message of communal unity. Kumari is a Durga Puja ritual in which a girl is worshipped as a goddess on Maha Ashtami, the eighth day of the festival.
in 2019 at Kumari Puja, the Duttas did something that many people would be hesitant to do. Fatima, the daughter of a grocery store owner, Muhammad Tahir, near Fatehpur Sikri in Agra, and Bushra Bibi, was worshipped in the house of Dutta's of Baguiati in Kolkata's north-eastern outskirts.
