India is a welcoming country where all religions strive to coexist peacefully. There are a few examples that show differently, but people continue to respect each other's religion. There is a false impression in our country that Hindus and Muslims don't get along well. History says there has been indifference between them, but time and again we come across events that show the peace between these two populations. From enjoying Diwali and Eid together to a Muslim man taking care of a Hindu temple, these beautiful events give an example of communal harmony and tolerance.
1.Ramlila
and Namaz are held together in this dual Mandir-Masjid in Uttar Pradesh.
It was late at night when the sounds of 'Namaz' and 'Chaupais' met in people's ears. While Ramlila was taking place in the Lat Bhairav Mandir, Muslims were performing Namaz at the adjoining Lat Masjid.
This peaceful practise has been going on for nearly three centuries and
completed 350 years old in 2019. Both the mandir and the masjid are near
to one other.
